Qualifications

• Qualified nurses must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the State Board of Nursing required
• Must be available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 7:00AM-4:00PM

Responsibilities

• The infusion nurse provides direct patient care and possesses the knowledge and technical skills to safely administer any infusions or injections ordered for patient treatments
• Provide monitoring and continued assessment throughout the infusion treatment and report any adverse reactions to physician
• Utilizes nursing process, evidenced-based practice, and unit-specific competencies to complete an accurate and timely assessment of the patient’s needs, goals, preferences, and resources available
• Provide initial and ongoing patient education prior to each infusion and drug administration
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients throughout treatment
• Uses appropriate standards of safety and hygiene to maintain a patient care environment with a focus on safety and preventing the spread of communicable disease between patients and staff
• Schedule patient according to their treatment regimen
• Strong triage skills for patient needs throughout their infusion as well as for patient phone calls
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
